Alegria Health & Wellness to Provide Covid-19 Vaccines and Boosters to Public Prep

This partnership will help ensure students are safe and healthy as they attend school this year

Students, staff and parents will be visiting Alegria’s Medical Center to receive the vaccine or booster

Alegria Health & Wellness, a state of the art medical facility and Public Prep, the nation’s only non-profit network that provides tuition free Pre-K, elementary and middle school education, have teamed up to provide COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters to students.

Public Prep is the nation’s first non-profit network that exclusively develops exceptional, tuition-free Pre-K and single-sex elementary and middle public schools. They are determined to graduate 8th grade scholars who thrive in “right-fit,” high-performing public, private, or parochial high schools, and ultimately earn a degree, on-time, from a four-year college or university.

Both organizations are located in the South Bronx and these efforts will help increase vaccination rates in the community and keep students healthy as they begin school this New Year. Alegria Health & Wellness was recently approved by the state to take part in its Vaccine for Children Program, making this opportunity possible.
